Monday, November 16th - Chapter 7 Test - Ancient China

Tuesday, November 17th & Wednesday, November 18th  Benchmark Assessment Test (BAT).  Students report to test centers beginning of 1st and 5th periods each of these days. Please bring #2 pencils and reading material.  There will be significant down time during these sessions.  Periods 3 and 4 including lunch as usual.

Thursday, November 19th - BAT test periods 1 and 2 only.

Friday, November 20th - group activity begins for ancient civilization games.

Chapter 7 Test - November 16th Don't usually give a test on Monday, but want to have it done before BAT testing.  Friday November 20th choose groups and start on ancient civilization games.  To be completed in class (mostly) during the 3 days prior to Thanksgiving break - November 23-25.  Will play in class November 30th and December 1st.

A preview of the coming weeks - after chapter 7 - ancient China; then create and play ancient civilizations games.  Return and cover chapter 4 and 5 on ancient Greece.  Don't worry, wasn't going to leave that out.  Second quarter project will probably be on ancient Greece in a couple of weeks, to be due before winter break.  

1st period - CONGRATULATIONS!!  You are the winners of the Flight of the Falcons contest!  Pizza party will be 6th period on Thursday, November 19th.  Way to go everybody.
