Language Arts Class

Agin’s Reading Class

Reading –We are reading Coyote School News in our reading
book. Comprehension and Vocabulary test will be Thursday.
Please study the Family Times sheet in the Tuesday folder.
It lists the vocabulary words and the definitions. It also
lists the spelling words for the week.

English – This week we are studying Plural Nouns.
Examples: pet, pets fox, foxes company, companies

Spelling –This week we are on Week 2. The first twelve
words will be on the test Friday. Homework is in their Tuesday
folder and should be completed and returned by Friday.

**NIGHTLY HOMEWORK**
Every night your child should read for 15 minutes. The
material could be anything from their reading book, AR book,
or another book from home. For your child to get credit,
parents must sign the reading log each night. The reading log
is due on Friday. I will return the folder on Monday. Our AR
goal for this six weeks is 5 points with an average of 85 % or
higher.


We will only have ten words on the test.

Homework Assignments
Students will be given ample time in class to complete any
assignments. If your child does not finish in class then
it becomes homework. Each student is responsible for
having the completed assignment in class the next day to
be given credit. If the work is late points will be taken
off.

Weekly Folder
I will send papers home each Tuesday. The folder will
include papers and conduct for the week. Please review
the papers, sign the folder, and send it back on Wednesday.
