ATTENTION: STUDENTS AND PARENTS

• The purpose of this page is to communicate with parents and assist students who are absent or may have temporarily misplaced their student agenda. The best way to stay on top of homework is to write down assignments at the beginning of each class period.

• Please note:  There may be times when the actual assignment differs from what is listed on this page. So it is important for students to copy down homework in class each day, as well as to have a "study buddy" to call when absent.

• All assignments are due the next class day unless otherwise noted. 

WEEKLY HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS

ATTN PARENTS:

 When students are working on assignments at home, please note that they should be referring to notes and/or handouts located in their science binder!

WEEK OF FEBRUARY 8, 2010

Well, last week was a bit crazy - schedule wise. This week will hopefully be more normal, as a result, homework assignments will be more relfective of the appropriate day of the week.

Monday

1) Write questions for Cornell notes on soil conservation

• key terms and hints provide during class - students should have this information copied down (or call a study buddy)
• assignment is a follow-up to activities covered in class

Tuesday

1) Use notes on soil conservation to answer review questions on the same concept - be sure that written responses are clear, complete and restate the question as part of the answer;

2) Review notes - POP Quiz tomorrow????

Wednesday - Early Dismissal (1:25)

 1) Review and rewrite missed questions from quiz - do this on a seperate sheet of Cornell note paper;

2) Organize science binder - could be a check on Thursday or Friday??

Thursday

1) Begin work on study guide for Unit on Soil

• parts A and B need to be completed by Monday 2/15

2) Test on Soil Unit will be on Tuesday, 2/16

Friday - Fieldtrip to see movie The Lightning Thief

1) Work on study guide for Unit Test on Soil and have a nice weekend!

REMINDERS

• Wednesday, February 10th - Early Dismissal (1:25)
• Tuesday, February 16th - Unit Test: Soil

Cornell Note Sheet Copy (in the event that an extra is needed).
