Parents,
This coming Wednesday we will be having an FCAT Parent night. This is an opportunity to learn more about the Reading, Math and Science FCAT that your child will be taking come March. All parents who attend will receive one volunteer hour. It is FCAT Crunch time and completing homework is a vital part of their success. Unfortunately, students have fallen into the rut of not completing their homework. The home learning I assign is meant to reinforce and review the concepts that were covered in class that day. We are moving rapidly through the book now and it is essential that the students grasp each concept so we can keep building on these previous concepts. As always, if a student does not understand the homework, I am available every morning from 7:45 to 8:15 to review. I also want to clarify, I only check my e-mail during the school day. Therefore, if you send me an e-mail outside of school hours, I will not read it till the following school day. I try to reply to e-mails within the same day that I read the message. many thanks, Ms. Ortiz * All students need to bring in 6 ziplock bags and a bottle of glue by Tuesday for a science experiment. * Don't forget to log on to FCAT Explorer!
