District wide pretest for science.  No homework.

 

 

Monday – August  25th

 

1.     Safety contracts were discussed.  Part of their homework is to get them signed by a parent and have it returned tomorrow.

2.     We reviewed measuring in mm and cm today.  Most students did not have a problem with this.

3.     Triangle activity was discussed and the paper needs to be completed and turned in tomorrow. 

4.     Remember late assignments will not be accepted.  I gave students a break on the first one but this will not continue.

 

Tuesday – August 26th

 

1.     Collect Safety Contracts and Triangle Activity

2.     Let’s Grow Metric Activity – will be done in class and collected.

3.     No homework

 

Wednesday – August 27th

 

1.     Quiz on measuring in cm and mm – will count as their first test grade

2.     Pre test on Word Roots – will not count for their grade.

3.     No homework

 

Thursday – August 28th

1.     Activity – I Scream for Ice Cream  - we will work on this in class and students will have to finish for homework – both sides

 

Friday – August 29th

1.     Collect homework

2.     There’s a Hair in My Dirt story will be read to them.  Students will look for quantitative and qualitative observations as it is being read.

 

 

Monday - August 18th

First day of school!  Welcome back!  We discussed a variety of subjects depending on what period they had me.  Students and parents need to fill out the papers in the manila envelope and return them to school as soon as possible.

 

Tuesday - August 19th

No school due to tropical storm Fay!

 

Wednesday - August 20th

Collect paper work and extra supplies.
