11/2 - Honors in the library working on proposals for Semester project. Proposals due Friday. CP - Sex - linked traits. Go over what the differences are between regular sex linked traits and autosomal traits. Pedigree worksheets. 11/3 - Complex patterns of inheritance. Powerpoint on codominance, incomplete dominance and blood types. Blood types activity. Homework - finish blood type activity. 11/4 - Complete complex inheritance patterns - polygenic and multiple allelic notes. Karyotyping notes and looking at different karyotypes with abnormalities. Start karyotyping lab. 11/5 - Finish u karyotyping lab and give out and go over reviews for test chapter 12. Study for chapter 12 test. 11/6 - Chapter 12 test. After the test watch the video "clones". Video deals with sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction and the differences in genes aquired from each process. North Carolina Standard Course of Study Objectives 3.02 - compare/contrast characteristics of sexual and asexual reproduction. 3.03 - Interpret and predict patterns of inheritance. 3.01 - Analyze the molecular basis for heredity including DNA and protein synthesis. |
