(2 week Journal, given on 1-30, due 2-10)
(Journals are due on Friday at the end of class. These are to be completed in class, when the student has extra time. Not intended for homework. Paragraphs are 4-5 sentences each.)

**What's happening this week?***
*All supplies should be bought now and each student should have an organized notebook each day in class. (3 ring binder with 4 dividers) Also, students should have (2) - 3 prong folders for Journals and Vocabulary. Each student should have a TI 30X II S calculator by now, also.
* ORGANIZE NOTEBOOKS, Journals, Vocabulary, and backpacks each week
*Progress reports go out on Monday, Feb. 6th
*Dividing Monomials Quiz Wed., 2-8
*Vocabulary Test Wed., 2-8
*Multiplying and Dividing Monomials Test on Fri., 2-10
Vocabulary this week:
Polynomials unit, see flip chart for 17 terms
Monday - SuperBowl Roman Numerals, Begin Dividing Monomials... notes and practice, review vocabulary
Homework - 9-2 Practice handout, study vocab, get progress report signed
Tuesday - Dividing Monomials, review Vocabulary
Homework - Dividing Monomials handout, study vocab
Wednesday- more on dividing monomials, open notes Quiz, Vocabulary Test
Church Night, mid-week break = NO HOMEWORK :)
Thursday - Review of Multiplying and Dividing Monomials
Homework - Multiplying and Dividing Monomials Study Guide
Friday - Multiplying and Dividing Monomials Test

(extra credit is banked throughout the 9 weeks to be used as an extra Quiz grade at the end of the term)
- Bring progress report back signed by student and parent on Tuesday, February 7th for 5 points!
- Check out website Algebra-Class http://www.algebra-class.com/exponents.html
Go to units and select, Exponents and Monomials unit, and the Polynomials unit... Write or type at least 2-pages/ notes to summarize these units. Include all important topics and examples of each... The sky is the limit! (up to 30 pts.)
