MAP testing went exceptionally well. The average student gained around 10 points. Just to put that in perspective, average growth is around 7/8 points for the entire school year. We're just over 50% done with the year! I couldn't be more proud of their efforts. Of course, we will continue to improve and challenge ourselves. Interims: grade reports went home on Friday. Students that are missing work can complete p. 404 through p. 407 in the textbook. One page of out of the textbook will generally count for one assignment. As always, more work = more credit. Next week: Monday - Triangles (lesson 8-5) Tuesday - polygons (8-7) and quadrilaterals (8-6) Wednesday - geometric patterns (8-8) and quiz over 8-5 to 8-8 Thursday - congruent figures (8-9) and symmetry (8-11) Friday - no school Compass Odyssey: Students can complete make-up / practice work at this site. http://hera.spart6.org/childu/index.html username: each child's last name, like "jones", or "smith" password: x school: legms Textbook Website: http://my.hrw.com login: guest1154 password: u7v7y |
