  measure our "Words Per Minute" by going to the following website: We are currently working on learning the parts of the computer. We are getting familiar with proper posture and how to identify and operate the computer. Then we will start learning about Internet Safety and a gentle talk about Cyberbullying. Next, we will be working on a program called Dance Mat Typing, in which the students will be learning about keyboarding. They will start on the "home row" and will be moving on to other keys as they progress. Visit our favorite: "Dance Mat Typing" website. or  We are starting out reviewing the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel and then PowerPoint. Then we will begin our lessons on Internet Safety and Cyberbullying. We will also be working on Business Projects in which the students are put into groups and will create a business of their own. Each group will then vote on their own President and Bookkeeper of the business. Some of the jobs that the businesses will be performing are: - Designing Business Cards & Stationery - Creating a :60 Radio Commercial - Creating a :30 TV Commercial - Designing a Magazine Print Ad. When completed each group will demonstrate their projects for a Class Presentation grade as well.  Will also start out the year reviewing the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Next we will begin our lessons on Internet Safety and Cyberbullying.
