Moses Washington, Jr. EC Teacher About your teacher: I was born in Augusta, Georgia and raised in Columbus, Georgia. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education Hearing Impaired from Talladega College in Talladega, Alabama and a Master of Science in Social Work from Howard University in Washington D.C. I have also completed 18 post graduate hours from Trinity College and Catholic University in Washington D.C. I hold the following licenses: School Social Worker on the Master's level, Cross Categorial (Grades K-12), EC Language Arts, EC Math, EC Science, and EC Social Studies. My mom and dad are both Southerners. My mother and father demanded excellence and encouraged me reach my goals. I have a mom and dad who wouldn't take excuses for why you could not do something or accomplish something. I will do my best to instill the same standards in my students. ENGLISH - For the week of April 13 - 17 Students will be assessed on Lesson 16 in the word skills book and begin practicing on Lesson 17 words in the word skills book. We introduced a new vocabulary strategy called a vocabulary book to help students recall vocabulary words. Students will not be allowed to take this book home as of yet. Students will also be introduced to poetry to include completing an optional poetry project for extra credit.
In Math, For the week of April 13 -17, we will continue learning new skills in Chapter 6 - percent - with a test on Friday, April 17 on percent, decimals, fractions, solving equations containing percents, percent of change, and interest, rate, and principal. Save the Date:
