                 HAPPY EASTER!!!!

I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A BLESSED EASTER! WE NEEDED SOME FUN TIME!

 

MY LESSON FOR THE EASTER BREAK: STICK TO THE OLD KID OF EGG DYING, DUNK IT IN, AND STAY AWAY FROM DABBING. IT WAS FUN BUT WHAT A MESS!!!

 

    HERE IS THE WEEK IN REVIEW:


  Reading

    Our story this week is "FISHING BEARS". Frog and Toad, what can I say? They are awesome!

 The vocabulary words are:  both, during and ready

 REMEMBER TO STUDY VOCABULARY! THE CHILDREN ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY READING THEM ON THE TEST!

 Phonics

We are learning the long  i sound spelled with -ind and

 -ild.

 Practice using the word building cards a dry erase board, chalk, watercolor paint. Have Fun!!

  Remember to practice spelling words every night. Vocabulary should be practiced also.

WE ARE ALMOST FINISHED WITH OUR HANDWRITING BOOK. THE CHILDREN THAT ARE BEHIND WILL BE BRINGING IT HOME TO WORK ON.

 Practice! Practice! Practice! New letters may be later in the week.

Remember to have the kids look and pay attention to the top, middle and bottom lines.                                                      


Math         

Money and Time here we come! Please practice counting change with your child, counting on can be difficult for some.

You may want to begin practicing math facts for the next chapter which is addition up sums of 18.

               Science  

                                              We are going to begin our plant unit. If you are able to could you please send in a ziploc sandwich bag in with potting soil. We will be planting seeds.
