Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the sixth grade at C.M. Eppes Middle School! I am very excited about working with you and your child this year. I know that this year will be challenging but fun, filled with a lot of new experiences for you child. Middle school is a growing experience for children and I will be there for the transition from elementary to middle school by helping with good study habits.
Good study habits include completing homework assignments along with a few minutes of study time to review what was covered in class. I set very high expectation for all of my students. All of my students must be prepared for class everyday. Please be sure that you send your child with a textbook, paper, pencil and homework everyday. Math homework will be given every Monday through Thursday. I try not to assign homework over the weekend. I also try not to give any major tests on Monday. Since I do not give homework over the weekends, I expect your child to work extremely hard throughout the week. I also give a daily class work and participation grade.
I feel that a good education begins with good communication between home and school. I welcome your questions, comments and suggestions. Please feel free to contact me via email at webbp.cme@pitt.k12.nc.us. I am also available at school 252-757-2160.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can ensure that your child will have a successful school year at C.M. Eppes Middle School.
Thank you,
Paula Webb
