Today is Friday.  HOORAY for the weekend!

 

Today, I collected an assignment that was due over Cause/Effect. Then, you were able to read your A.R. book. Monday, we will go over (2) vocabulary words, and I will introduce "Author's Purpose." You will be given an assignment that will be due Tuesday. Tuesday, we will cover the last two words for the Second Quarter, and you will be given a Study Guide. It will be over all words covered Second Quarter. Then, together we will grade the assignment that is due, and you will be given a mastery and review assignment that will be due Wednesday. Wednesday, we will discuss Graphic Organizers, and you will be given an assignment that will be due Thursday. Thursday, I will collect the assignment, and you will be given your Reading Final for the Second Quarter. Friday, you will be able to read your A.R. book and go to the library. Your first A.R. book for the Second Quarter was due Monday, Nov. 8th. Your second A.R. book is due, Friday, Dec. 17th. Remember...It is important that you complete your assignments on time in order to avoid a Pink Slip.

 

VOCABULARY WORDS: - INNOCENCE - (n.) - 1. Freedom from sin, wrong, or guilt. 2. Simplicity; lack of cunning; naiveness.  INSULATE - (v.) - 1. To keep from losing or transferring electricity, heat, sound, etc., especially by covering, packing, or surrounding with a nonconducting material. 2. To set apart; separate from others; isolate.

 

Students are to write the vocabulary words in their vocabulary notebook along with all definitions. A sentence should be written in the notebook of at least seven words using the words correctly. The words should be numbered as #25 & #26 for the Second Quarter.
