Friday, September 3, 2010 T. G. I. F.! Know? You’ve been soooo good this week, I’m going to give you Monday off. Aren’t I nice? Picture Day! Morning startup/Pledge/Announcements Hang up your backpacks, turn in your homework, put notes, lunch money, etc. in front basket, and put your seat in your seat. Update your virus scan. Spelling Obj: September Word Wall Words Test Get out a piece of notebook paper! Math Obj: Number Sentences ws and Review of Addition and Subtraction We’ll do a number sentence worksheet and then play 2 games of Around the World – one for addition and one for subtraction. Then we’ll do some online review of addition and subtraction. Reading/Language Obj: Getting Details from Reading and Justifying Your Opinion I promise – you get to keep your Weekly Readers today! Let’s debate those Silly Bandz! Ws Reading Obj: Feedback Let’s go over yesterday’s Weekly Assessments. Then we’ll do some AR, if time. I may even start a small group with some girls! Let’s start Sarah, Plain and Tall. Art Lunch and recess D & D while finishing Tales of a Fourth-Grade Nothing. AR test when we are done. Science/Reading To the front for a brainpop on the “Rock Cycle”! Then complete “What is the Rock Cycle?” ws with Partner A. Turn it into Science when you are done. Science/Language Obj: Converting Graphic Organizer into Paragraphs Remember those Inspiration graphic organizers on the 3 Types of Rocks from yesterday? They’re baaaack! We’ll use them to write paragraphs about the 3 types of rocks. Assignment books and get ready to go home.
