*The website www.softschool.com has some excellent review tools for Human Body Systems, including some great diagrams. www.quizlet.com is another excellent resource to use for creating flash cards and other study tools.
*Please have all supplies in class each day (see below for list).

Extra Help is available most days during lunch or FLEX periods (4th & 5th). Please see the schedule posted by my door each week. See me in the morning if you are interested and need a pass or just stop by on your way to lunch with your questions. If you are coming during your FLEX period, you must get a pass from me and let your FLEX teacher know BEFORE that period.
Grades are posted on the Parent Portal. Be sure to check it regularly. The link can be found on the Sequoya website. If you are having difficulty accessing this site, you need to contact Guidance as both Progress Reports and Report Cards will be posted through the Parent Portal.
*Access to the Science workbook is now available from home. Go to www.sachem.edu. Click on Curriculum & Instruction on the left side. Click on Health/Physical Education. Click on Health Education. Click on Student Resources. Click on 6th Grade. The workbook will open. This is a good resource for anyone who is absent and does not have the workbook at home.
****************************************************************
Please remember that no food is allowed in the classrooms at any time unless provided by the school. Gum is not allowed in school at all.
*If you are absent at any time, it is your responsibility to get notes from a classmate. If you borrow a classmate's notes before lunch on the day that you return, you will be able to copy them during lunch and will not fall further behind. Calling a classmate/study buddy when you are out is another way to stay up to date.
*Be sure to turn in assignments such as lab reports and book reports promptly. You will lose a grade for each day that your work is late.
*Everyone starts the quarter with a 100% homework average. If you try your hardest and turn your homework in on time and COMPLETELY done , you will maintain that 100%. Your homework should not contain any blank answers. If you are unsure of something, review your notes. If you are still unsure, mark the question with a ? and fill in an educated guess. Never leave it blank. If your homework is turned in one day late, you will get 50% for that assignment. If it is more than one day late, you will receive a 0 for that assignment. It is very easy to keep the 100% homework average!
After School Extra Help ends at 3:17. You may arrange for your parent to pick you up at 3:20 or take the late bus home. Anyone waiting for the late bus is asked to wait in the assigned area until the buses arrive. The bus stop for the late bus may be different from your regular stop. If you are unsure of your stop, you may check the transportation list at www.sachem.edu or ask me in homeroom.
