The Color Wheel



We have been discussing the color wheel in grade three. Students should know the primary and secondary colors. They were introduced to the warm and cool colors as well.

Primary colors= RED, YELLOW, BLUE

Secondary colors= ORANGE, VIOLET (purple), GREEN


Coloring Mixing:


red yellow= orange

blue red= purple(violet)

yellow blue= green



warm colors= red, orange and yellow

cool colors= blue, green and purple (violet)
