We have just finished our novel Freak the Mighty. We viewed the movie "The Mighty" based on the novel. We are currently working on expository essays that state the many differences between the novel and the movie.

The students have taken point form notes during the movie, have taken the time to categorize these points and have started the essay.

Friday they will be given one class period to complete the essay (5 paragraphs) and type it out. It will be turned on on Feb 13th.

The structure of the essay:
Paragraph 1 - introduction. Introduce the 3 points that will be discussed.
Paragraph 2 - Point #1 & 2 supporting examples
Paragraph 3 - Point #2 & 2 supporting examples
Paragraph 4 - Point #3 & 2 supporting examples
Paragraph 5 - conclusion.
