March 18, 2010 Dear Parents, There was a little glitch in our Schoolnotes page last week and, for some reason, it did not save. We are sorry for any inconvenience! Welcome spring!! The beauty and excitement of the season is evident in all of us. As we approach Holy Week, please encourage your child to color in the triangles on their crosses after doing acts of kindness for others. The children are enjoing sharing the stories of what they have done to 'color in a triangle'. Our reading vocabulary is rapidly increasing with the weekly addition of our HFW's. It is very helpful to the children if, at home, you have a set of our words on flashcards. These cards can be strung together to form practice sentences. Encourage your child to build his/her own sentences using the flashcards. Extra words, of your choice, may be added at any time. The children may also copy their sentences on a piece of paper and then illustrate. This extra work at home really helps boost your child's confidence at school. QUICK NOTES * Sarris candy delivery will be on Friday, March 26. * Please send in your empty cereal boxes for the Drama Club's use. They are 'building a library' for their production of Beauty and the Beast.
