Show Choir

"Take heed that what you sing with you lips, you believe in your hearts and show forth in your actions."

Everyone needs to be at rehearsal every Thursday morning at 7:30.  You agreed to this schedule when you became a Show Choir member.  We can not keep learning music for things we are scheduled to do if we do not meet at our appointed rehearsal time.  Please keep this in mind as we prepare and train for our "big trip" next year.  Commitment is HUGE in this group.

Spring calendar:  

**THE MARCH 18 CONCERT/TRIP IS CANCELLED**

April 16, 2010 - Contest at Carowinds.  This is an all day trip.  Polo shirts and uniform pants/shorts is dress code.  Cost will be  $45.00 per person.  Money needs to be turned in by March 31, 2010.  See me if you will have trouble paying.  (Show Choir members who are also band members - please pay me for your trip instead of Mr. Hall.  I have to have a certain number paying in my group and he has plenty of  other band students who are paying him.  You will only pay one time to play and sing both.)

April 22, 2010 - Earth Day - One Day can drive.  Start saving those drink cans.  Bring aluminum cans to school between 6:30 and 8:30 AM to the trailer which will be located in the car rider area.  If we have more cans than will go in the trailer, Mr. Wooten has agreed to make two trips to unload them.  Just make sure they are in large plastic trash bags before leaving them.  Proceeds from the sale of cans will be for the New York trip next year.

May 1, 2010 - sing National Anthem for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Center Walk a Thon.  The students have discussed actually walking to raise money for this cause.  Do you want them to walk this year? 

May 8, 2010 - AppleBee's Flap Jack Breakfast fund raiser

May 11, 2010 - Spring concert ***This has been changed from the May 25th date****

June 10, 2010 - sing for 8th grade ceremony

St. Luke's Church in East Rowan area DOES want us to sing - they will call us after Easter when their schedule is more flexible.

All Chorus Classes -   All classes working on concert music to be performed on March 23, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
