Show Choir

"Take heed that what you sing with you lips, you believe in your hearts and show forth in your actions."

Spring calendar:

February 6, 2010 - If we do not have to make up a school day, we will have a Show Choir Rehearsal from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE PICKING YOUR CHILD UP - I WILL HAVE TO GO AT 11:00!!!

February 15, 2010 - 6:30 - Parent meeting to discuss the "big trip" for next year and fund raising efforts for this trip.  PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO ATTEND - YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED AS WE PLAN!

Feb. 25, 2010 - Solo/Small Ensemble contest in Gastonia.  We will be gone most of the day.  We will have to wear our formal wear.  Details to come soon.  Fund raiser money from luminary project at Christmas will be used to pay for this trip for everybody.

March 18, 2010 - sing for Trinity Oaks Retirement Center.  Bring formal wear.  You will change clothes at 1:20 to leave, go sing and will be back for the 3:15 bus dismissal.

April 16, 2010 - Contest at Carowinds.  This is an all day trip.  Polo shirts and uniform pants/shorts is dress code.  Cost will be around $45.00 per person.  See me if you will have trouble paying.

May 1, 2010 - sing National Anthem for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Center Walk a Thon.  The students have discussed actually walking to raise money for this cause.  Do you want them to walk this year? 

May 25, 2010 - spring concert 7:00 wear formal wear

June 10, 2010 - sing for 8th grade ceremony

Hopefully - we can get a date at Franklin  Heights Baptist Church to sing - still waiting for pastor to call back. (Hoping for a possible love offering to help fund trip)  Will let you know if and when that date will be.

All Chorus Classes -   Notebooks, pencils and signed papers are due Friday, January 29, 2010.  We will start vocabulary words on Monday.  Be sure to put the concert date on your calendars - Tuesday, March 23, 2010 - 7:00 PM (students arrive at 6:30)
