Show Choir

"Take heed that what you sing with you lips, you believe in your hearts and show forth in  you actions."

Thursday Mornings - rehearsal - 7:30!

Thursday, April 26, 2012 - sing National Anthem for Intimidators Base ball game.  Wear polo shirts and uniform pants.  Meet me at stadium flagpole and 6:15.  Students who sing get a free ticket to see the game for singing.  Parents who wish to stay and see game will need to purchase a ticket.

Friday, April 27, 2012 is Carowinds Festival/Contest

*We will leave school by bus at 8:30

*Show Choir warm up time is 10:00/performance time is 10:15.

*After we perform, students may enjoy the park WITH their assigned chaperone.

*No one leaves their assigned chaperone for ANY reason during the day.

*Chaperones who do not wish to ride the rides may get students on the rides and go to the enad of ride to wait for students to come    off and gather as a group again.

*One one will go into restrooms alone.  Always go into the rest room in groups.

*Band students play late in the afternoon.  Show Choir chaperones will need to help get band students to where they need to be for    the band competition.  After the bands play, we will enjoy the park until 6:00.

*We will be back at the CLMS bus parking lot by 7:00 - 7:15.  We will start calling you when we get to Concord Mills to let you know  where we are.  Please be in the parking lot when your child arrives back to school.  It creates anxiety for them when they have no  one to pick them up.

*Wear Show Choir polo shirts and uniform pants, closed toe shoes.  Students are expected to wear this the entire day.  This is a  safety factor for your child, so please adhere to this policy.

*$45.00 for trip is due NO LATER than March 15, 2012.  THIS IS A DEAD LINE that we must adhere to.  This has been on the calendar for a while.  *Band students who are also Show Choir members, please pay me instead of Mr. Hall.  I have to have a certain number paying to go. Mr. Hall has enough to meet that number.  I don't have as many  students, so I appreciate your help with that.

*Please remember to bring money for food you eat for lunch and snacks while in the park.

*This is an excused absence, but you are expected to contact your teachers to make up work that you miss.

April 28, 2012 - sing National Anthem for Juvenile Diabetes Walk-a-thon at the Intimidator's stadium.  Wear polo shirts and uniform pants.  Meet at the flag pole at 8:30.  You should be done by 9:30 - 9:45.  Thanks for supporting this effort to help JDRF.

We heard from First Reformed late yesterday.  They DO want us to sing for them:

April 29, 2012 - sing for First Reformed Church at210 N. Central Ave. in Landis at the 11:00 service.  Be there at 10:00 to warm up and get ready.  Wear formal wear.  Parents, please help support our efforts with this and bring your student to help with this singing endeavor.  These types of activities do so much to represent our school in a positive way.

May 8, 2012 - spring concert at CLMS auditorium.  This is a PTA/Fine Arts Showcase night.  Wear formal wear.  Be at school at 6:30.  Meeting will begin at 7:00.

A year end party is in the works.  More details later!

We may be asked to sing for the 8th grade ceremony on June 8, 2012.  Please keep this option open until final plans are made.

Please remember our can recycling container on the Zion St. side of our campus.  All these funds received from the sale of cans go to Show Choir.
