In English I we work to prepare students for the English I EOC exam. Half of the test is reading comprehension and analysis, while the other half is grammar. Each day we split our time between literature, grammar, and vocabulary. The following is what we are working on right now: Literature - Fiction through short stories Grammar - Parts of Speech Vocabulary - We will start Words at work the second week of the semester and have vocabulary tests every Friday. Students will have homework almost every night. Please be sure to check behind them and make sure they are completing their work. We give them a calendar to put into the front of their notebook, and we give time in class to write down homework. ***I will update this as frequently as I can. Please just check behind your child to see if they are completing the required work. Thanks!*** |
