On February 24th we will be taking a field to the Maryland State House, the governor's mansion and the William Paca house.  We can only take 12 chaperones.   If you are interested, it is a first come opportunity.  Please let me know ASAP.  Thank you.

**In the winter we go out for recess in all types of weather.  Please send students prepared for the elements.  Winter jackets, scarves, hats, gloves, etc.  If students aren't prepared they will need to stay in the office.

Dear Parents,
Severna Park Elementary is pleased to be starting a new way of communicating with our parents!  Anne Arundel County has a website on which you can access our school and from there get information on your child's grade level.  In the fifth grade we are ready to use this site and have already posted information about homework, links to online textbooks, field trips and other pertinent information.  Not all grade levels are ready yet, so please wait to navigate those pages until they announce that they are ready. 
 
To access this website, go to http://blackboard.aacps.org.  From there click on log in, then our username is spes and our password is bobcat.  Then click on Severna Park Elementary School.  This will link you to our school.  From there you can click on fifth grade and access a number of helpful resources.
 
Eventually this site will replace our SchoolNotes page, but for now, we will maintain both.
