Ms. McGrady’s Earth Science Measurements, Measurements, Measurements!!!
For the past 4 weeks we have been gathering data, measuring data, and even performing skits on data. The students did skits on showing the different ways of heat transfer (conduction, convection, and radiation). They all did a great job. The radiation lab was a great success as well! We have also been reviewing the metric system and temperature scales, and conversions. The Kelvin scale is the only scale that seems unfamiliar. That’s not the only measurement unfamiliar. Ask your child how much you weigh in
We will continue to measure data for a couple of weeks. We will be study how Density, Mass, and Volume are related. Soon we will also be measuring longitude and latitude and distances using different types of maps. We will even make a compass course.
So far it has been a great year and I hope it continues!!!!! Sincerely,
