**FRESHMEN-- please bring your parents to Freshmen Night-- tonight at 6:30 in the Ella Tyson Lecture Hall.  We will review graduation requirements, grades, attendance adn answer your questions.  We look forward to seeing you there!

**MATH CLUB-- will be holding a canned food drive for Thanksgiving, until Monday, 11/23.  All members will be required to donate at least 3 cans. All other students are encouraged to participate as well.

**TEEN DEMS--  will meet on Monday, 11/9, in Mobile Unit 4 right after school.  We will discuss t-shirts, pay $5 dues, and upcoming events.

**MATH REMEDIATION--  will begin on Tuesday, 11/3, after school in the following rooms until 4:15.  Geometry-- Room 205, Algebra I-- Room 208, Algebra 2-- Room 207.

**SCIENCE OLYMPIAD-- a meeting for interested students will be held Monday, 11/9, in Room 102 at 3:45.

**INDOOR/OUTDOOR TRACK-- anyone interested in running should meet afterschool on Tuesday, 11/10 in Room 404.

**HEALTH SCIENCES ACADEMY STUDENTS-- are eligible to participate in an SAT workshop on Saturday, 11/14.  For more info, please see Ms. Pate in Student Services.

**NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY--  will meet on Thursday, 11/5, in Room 600B.  You may come either at 7:45 am or at 3:45pm.  Your $10 dues are due at this time.

**ENGLISH HONOR SOCIETY-- will meet at 3:45 in the Lecture Hall on Thursday, 11/5.  We will be signing up for the Shakespeare Competition and discussing fundraisers.  Anyone not in EHS, but who would still like to be in the Shakespeare Competition, please see Mrs. Hutchinson in Room 320.

**NATIONAL SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY-- will meet at 3:45 am on Monday, 11/9 in Room 215. We will be electing officers adn taking our club picture for yearbook.

**BIBLE CLUB--  meets every Wednesday at 7:45 am in the Lecture Hall.  All students are welcome.

  **CULTURE CLUB-- will continue the food drive until the box is full.  Please bring your donations to Room 314.

**TEEN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE-- Sophmores and Juniors are encouraged to apply!  5 students from Pitt County will be selected to learn about career opportunities, interviewing and leadership skills. Pick up applications from Ms. Cohen in Student Services.  Deadline is December 6. 

**CELL PHONES-- If you or your child has a phone taken during the school day-- please know this:  the phones are placed in the vault for security during the school day. Students and parents should be advised that phones will only be released to parents (with signature) between 3:35pm-4:00pm M-F. Location for pick up could be the front office or the Choice room.

**LITERARY MAGAZINE is now accepting student submissions in the form of poetry, short story, creative non-fiction and visual arts.  Send submissions to Mr. Childress in room 815 or Wendy Lu.

**SGA meetings are held on the last  Friday of each month in the Lecture Hall at 7:45.  Meetings are open to everyone, you do not have to be elected or appointed to attend--PLEASE COME!
