**GIRLS TRACK-- if you are running this spring, meet in the Annex on Wed., 2/3 at 4:00 pm.  Bring a change of clothes.

**PASTA FOR PENNIES- for the next 3 weeks JHR will be collecting change to help people who are sick with blood cancers like leukemia.  Please put your change in your classroom's collection box.

**YEARBOOK-- those interested in taking Yearbook as a class next year must pick up an application during lunch in the cafeteria or at Student Services.  Deadline is Feb. 10.

**FOOTBALL- will have a brief, mandatory meeting for 2009 and future 2010 players at 3:50 in the PAC on Thursday, 2/4.

**LIBRARY HELPERS--  any rising juniors and seniors who are interested in taking Library/Media as a class next year need to come to the Media Center to pick up an application.  Deadline for applications is Feb. 12.

**HEALTH OCCUPATIONS CLASSES- any students interested in enrolling in an upper level HO course for next year, please pick up an application from Ms. Byrne in Room 113 or Ms. Pate in Student Services.  Applications are due Feb. 12.

**DRIVERS ED--  will have a Saturday only class at CM EPPES starting 1/30, continuing every Saturday through 2/27.  Classes will be from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Students may register by calling NC Driving School at 321-6700.

**STUDY BUDDIES WANTS YOU! Come down to Room 214 during your lunch!  Tutors are available at all lunches, Monday thruough Friday.  If you would like a specific tutor, come by 214 to sign up.

 **Help Haiti!-- All JHR Clubs are encouraged to attend a walk-a-thon on Saturday, March 13, to help support the Red Cross' efforts in Haiti.  Come by Room 214 for More information.

**BIBLE CLUB--  meets every Wednesday at 7:45 am in the Lecture Hall.  All students are welcome.

**CELL PHONES-- If you or your child has a phone taken during the school day-- please know this:  the phones are placed in the vault for security during the school day. Students and parents should be advised that phones will only be released to parents (with signature) between 3:35pm-4:00pm M-F. Location for pick up could be the front office or the Choice room.

**LITERARY MAGAZINE is now accepting student submissions in the form of poetry, short story, creative non-fiction and visual arts.  Send submissions to Mr. Childress in room 815 or Wendy Lu.

**SGA meetings are held on the last  Friday of each month in the Lecture Hall at 7:45.  Meetings are open to everyone, you do not have to be elected or appointed to attend--PLEASE COME!
