     Ms. Lauren Burch, our student teacher from USM, is currently working with our students on a unit on persuasive writing.  She is doing an outstanding job and the students are enjoying learning from her.  Last week, your student should have brought home a persuasive letter for you to read.  This week, they are working on a persuasive essay.  Most of the writing will be done in class, but they may have some writing to do in the evenings and they will have some history work to complete outside of class as well.
