Homeroom Information and Updates

My homeroom still needs a volunteer for Junior Achievement Day.  Please contact Mrs. Barker if you are interested.

 

There is no school on Friday, January 16 or Monday the 19th.

 

Upcoming events for the second half of the year are Catholic School's Week, Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, tree planting for Earth Week, and Lent. 

  

 

 

Religion

We will begin Chapter 11.  In this chapter the children will learn that the Holy Spirit helps the Church to grow.

 

Social Studies

We will be learning about goods and services.  We will be making a book about Martin Luther King.

 

 

Language Arts 
 



Monday, January 12


Today we will be learning about long i.  We will also work on contractions.    

 

Tuesday, January 13

Today we are reading The Kite.  In class we will discuss cause and effect and work on using "I" and "me". 



Wednesday, January 14


Today will again work with the long i.  We will also be discussing words that end with -ing.  In English we will begin a unit on verbs.



Thursday, January 15

We will be reading How to Make a Kite.  Our spelling test will be today.



Friday, December 16

Monday, January 12


We will be showing different ways to make numbers.  Numbers through 100 will be discussed.

Today we are problem solving.

We will work on numbers through 50.   Our Chapter 10 test will be tomorrow.
