Welcome to Family and Consumer Sciences!

CHILD DEVELOPMENT

This page is reserved for students taking Child Development - please check this page for updates. Students taking Family Dynamics or Personal Development need to check the page for the course they are taking.

Child Development is a course that develops skills related to physical, social, intellectual, and emotional development of the child. It includes instructions on considerations for parenthood, prenatal care, child growth and development, behavior management, needs of exceptional children, and career opportunities.

This course is a nine week course and is 1/2 credit. Remember, in a 1/2credit class students may be absent ONLY 3 times and receive credit.Medical and school business absences only count toward exemption status.

Please feel free to contact me at any time via e-mail at cynthia.anglin@lamarcountyschools.org.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Study notes are as an attachment at the bottom of this page.

The test notes section are at the bottom of this page to download.  Please do not wait until Thursday after school to try to get the notes.  All students know how get the notes at school if they cannot get them at home.  Students have had an opportunity to get these notes since school started.

Please remind your students that they receive extra points for donating old tennis balls, hand sanitizer, facial tissue, antibacterial wipes, paper towel, copy paper and glue sticks.

Please talk with your student about keeping up with work and turning in assignments on time.

PARENTS/Students: Please
note - you may check your grades online with the SAM system. I encourage all of
you to use this system during the school year.

If I may help you with anything please let me know,

Mrs. Anglin
