Lots of exciting things are taking place in our classroom. We are continuing to read our adapted novel Island of the Blue Dolphins. We have been introduced to some very interesting voacbulary from our novel. Our spelling words will continue coming from our readings. Be sure to check agendas on Mondays because spelling words will be recorded there.
In math we have been working on graphs and how to interpret them. This has also lead us into studying the concepts of " greater than, less than." We are also still learning time measurements.
Each week we will be learning a food word in addition to our safety word. Speaking of food...... We are really enjoying our tasty treats from the microwave cooking unit. Recipes come home each week with your students. Try these out at home and have your student help with the cooking.
