Please remember that students need to complete their homework for me and return it on Fridays. Students should be reading their stories three times and practicing their fluency sheet three times during the week. Please return the book, calendar and fluency booklet every Friday.

Students who read consistently in these books at home last year made HUGE gain in their reading ability.

As your child about what they are learning in reading class:

vowels sounds and the key words for those sounds:                  example: a, apple /a/

glued sounds and the key words for those sounds:                 example:ing, ring, /ing/

bonus letters: f,l,s  example: shell
