Welcome to Sixth grade English (Combined Reading and Language Arts)!

 

 
 
 
 
Week of May 7-11

This week we continue to review for our SOL test.  We will focus on the genre of nonfiction and all the skills that encompass that genre.  Students will head to the library on Wednesday and the the BOGO Bookfair on Thursday.  Please make sure to get your Study guide signed each night it is assigned.
 
Tests/Quizzes: Nonfiction SOL Packet on Friday
 
Journal prompt:  (Due every Thursday) Do you prefer fiction or nonfiction?  Why? Defenc your answer.
 
 
Homework: 

Monday-   Study for 10 minutes
 
Tuesday-  Study for 10 minutes; Library tomorrow
 
Wednesday-  Journals due tomorrow;Study for 10 minutes
 
Thursday-Study for 10 minutes

Friday- Have a great weekend!
 
 
Word of the week:  substantial (Students may earn $20 FMS bucks by using the word of the week correctly in a sentence.  They also need to include an illustration that is colored and be neat.)
