Week of February 20-24 Plans: This week we will begin our research project. Students will be given a historical figure to research. They will then put their information in a powerpoint. (The template for the presentation will be given to them.) Students will learn how to research, how to cite their sources, and how to create a powerpoint presentation. We will have the laptops in our room until next Wednesday. Please bring in a flash drive if you would like to work on the powerpoint at home. Students will then present their powerpoint to the class next Thursday or Friday. Tests/Quizzes: Media Project due Wednesday Journal prompt: Describe your day off from school due to the snow storm. (Use your five senses to show the reader what you did) Homework: Monday- Journal due Thursday Tuesday- Library tomorrow Wed- Biography Research project due next Thursday Thursday- Biography Research project due next Thursday Friday- Biography Research project due next Thursday Word of the week: instigate (Students may earn $20 FMS bucks by using the word of the week correctly in a sentence. They also need to include an illustration that is colored and be neat.)
