In Middle School this week, students worked on their first school lunch of the year. Students worked in groups to organize and tally lunch request forms, count money, cook, and serve meals to all levels of classes. On Friday during math class, we analyzed our sales numbers and materials costs, and then calculated our profit.

On Friday, pairs of students visited classes to deliver reminders about our Concerns U Food Drive. We will continue collecting food until November 14. Please consider sending in donations with your child. At the end of the drive, we will go as a class to the Concerns U headquarters in Rensselaer to deliver the food.

Next week, on Thursday, November 5, we will be traveling to the Schenectady Museum for planetarium shows. We will need to leave school by 8:15 so students need to arrive at school earlier than typically scheduled.

Please ask your child to show you the Progress Report they received today. Consider discussing with your child their progress, areas of strength and areas that need attention. We look forward to talking to those of you who have scheduled parent conferences on Monday and Tuesday, 11/2 and 11/3.
