Updated: No student has completed this as of yet.
Graphic Novel Unit March 17-20 Students will be doing a Pre-unit: research project on various topics that will be touched upon during the novel. The students will be provided with library and computer lab time to assist with the research and the students will be expected to create a brief PowerPoint presentation to share with their peers at the appropriate time corresponding to the novel. They have been placed in small groups for this short project. This should not have to be completed as homework, but if the students do not use their time efficiently in the library or the lab, they may have to meet with their partners over lunch to complete it. We will actually be starting the novel next week. Some of the things we will be looking at will be format of graphic novels, the differences between a graphic novel, a traditional novel, and a comic book, as well as having some discussions surrounding prejudice and racism. As we continue further, I will update this page. |
