A reminder to staff and students, picture retake day is tomorrow.  Remember to wear your best smile.

Attention String Students: The High School Tutors will be back today after school. If you have signed up for a lesson, MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND!! Several of you missed your lesson last week. If we don't see you today, your tutor will no longer be available to you.

Illing Singers are meeting today.

The Crossroads Program will meet today in Room 117.

Science Club meets today in Room 226 after school and we will be making Slim.

Calling all cross country runners and girls soccer players.  Join us for the end of the season pizza party in the cafeteria Today, November 17th. Be sure to bring your uniforms with you to the party.  Feel free to bring additional healthy snacks or beverages if you like.  Your attendance is mandatory.  The party will be over at 3:45; please arrange for transportation or to take the late bus.

Are you missing sneakers, a coat or maybe gym clothes?  If you are missing items, you need to see if the items have been placed in lost and found.  Lost and found items will be placed on the stage during lunch.  Please ask an adult for permission to go up to the stage if you have lost an item and would like to see if it was placed on the stage.

Illing Middle School sends a team to the Northeast Regional Science Bowl Competition, held at University of Connecticut on Saturday March 3.  Students on the team participate in a Jeopardy style quiz bowl competition. Students have 6 seconds to buzz in to answer questions about any aspect of science and math questions up to 2 step equations. Part of the team will build a hydrogen fuel cell car to race against other middle schools in Connecticut.

Once a team is selected, we will meet 2-3 times a week until competition. If you are interested in participating on the Illing Science Bowl team, please sign up outside room 226. We will hold tryouts soon.  If you or your parent has questions, please contact Mrs. Schneider, coach.

Student Council will holding monthly food drives to benefit MACC, Manchester Area Conference of Churches. This month we will be collecting Mac& Cheese and nonperishable dinner items from November 14^th- 18^th.  All items can be dropped off in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch.  Thank you in advance to all students and staff for their assistance and generosity.

Show your support for a local CT Marine.  On Friday, November 23^rd, Cpl. Greg Caron was badly injured in Afghanistan.  Wear a hat and donate $1.00 on Wednesday, November 23^rd in support of The Greg Caron Foundation!  Cpl. Caron needs YOUR help NOW!
