Welcome to Miss Cerasoli's class! ![]() Important dates: Wednesday, November 4th~ Field Trip to Water Works Thursday, November 5th~ Reading Vocab Quiz Friday, November 6th~ Reading Comprehension Quiz Tuesday, November 10th~ Report Cards come home Wednesday, November 11th~ NO SCHOOL!! Parents- Homework is becoming a very serious issue in our classroom. On average, 1/3 to 1/2 of the students do not have their homework completed. Please check and make sure your child's homework is done daily. Homework is typically: Read 30 minutes (EVERY NIGHT) Study 50 States Study Reading Vocabulary Finish Math homework (most nights- they have class time to work on it, unfinished work is homework) Finish Reading (RARELY) Finish Science or Social Studies(about twice weekly) All assignments are due first thing the following morning. If they are not turned in prior to our school day starting, it is counted late. One day late= -5 points Two days late= -10 points Three days late= -15 points Fourth day and beyond= 0 Obviously, this problem is negatively affecting grades :( If your child is missing their homework, they will not receive free time during recess. If this continues to be a problem with the class, I will be forced to go to after school detention. I do not want this to happen. So, please help by checking to make sure their work is completed!! Reminder: I require signatures in both their reading log and agenda nightly. I also require a signature on their Thursday folder once a week. Thanks!!
