Exploring Technology
Knowledge of technology and how to use it is essential to the world we live in today. Students need to be independent thinkers and problem solvers to compete. This Career and Technical Education course offers students the chance to find out how technology works and how they can use technology to prepare themselves for an exciting career.

The Introduction Unit allows students to practice their problem solving skills, to work with various measure tools to get familiar with measuring in grams, centimeters and inches, and to learn about using the lab equipment safely.
Technology modules combined multimedia presentations with hands-on activities that allow students to investigate a specific area of technology.
7th Grade Students continue their Technology Specific Area module studies, explore the home construction process through the use of a simulation program and complete additional problem solving exercises.
8th Grade Students finish up their Technology Specific module studies and explore additional problem solving activities through research and presentation of facts, creation of design sketches, and making and performance testing of models.
