The next unit for our English III/English III Honors classes is: Mass hysteria, McCarthyism, and Voices This will be where you will write your research paper. We will be concentrating on the McCarthy Era and its affects on society, literature, and its causes. Question: How does one person get a grip that scares anyone who disagrees with his/her ideals? Has this happened before? How does the literature of the time reflect the events of our society, and how do writers make a statement about the injustices? Do they draw a parallel between current events and events from some 200+ years ago legitimately? Well, ladies and gentlemen, that is exactly what you will be researching. Be prepared to READ, READ, READ, READ, and READ. You will need your flashdrive to save your documents for revision, editing, and final printing. |
