Mrs. Falise

WWMS Mission Statement

Every child is respected as an individual for his/her uniqueness.  Students are exposed to an academically rigorous curriculum based on 21st Century technology to compete in an ever changing world.  This is achieved through collaboration between students, staff, parents, and the community.

Guidance Plan

My goal is to support all students by providing academic, career, and personal/social counseling through the delivery of guidance and counseling services as well as through a collaborative effort between the home, school, and community.  The ultimate objective is to help students develop the skills they need to be successful, contributing, and competitive members of a changing society.

Welcome Back to School

We are so excited to have all returning 7th & 8th grade students join us once again and we warmly welcome our incoming 6th graders and all new students.  This is a new beginning for everyone!

If you are in need of school supplies, please stop in or call Mrs. Falise.  We want to make sure everyone starts off the school year prepared and ready to learn.

CHARACTER EDUCATION

Character of the Month

What is good character?  Good character is being friendly, honest, making good decisions, helping others, using self-control, being respectful of rules and regulations, showing appreciation for others, being responsible, having courage, and showing perseverance.

Having good character is extremely important.  Research shows that developing good character improves academic performance.

Each month, teachers nominate a student from their homeroom class for the Character of the Month award.  These students are also recognized on our Wall of Character!

September - Responsibility

October - Respect

November - Self-Discipline

December - Kindness

January - Good Judgment

February - Courage

March - Integrity

April/May - Perseverance

Character Counts Cards

These cards allow both students and teachers to recognize a person at our school who has demonstrated good character.  All recognitions are sent to Mrs. Falise and those individuals are recognized every Friday on Knight TV.

Advisory

Every other Monday students will participate in an advisory group.  Students will have access to a teacher, who may or may not be their classroom teacher, this person will act as a mentor to a small group of students.  Students will learn how to develop goals, set goals, demonstrate positive character traits, and work on skills which will help them to excel academically, personally, and socially.
