A New Month... A NewYear... Happy 2010!

Our first day back afterChristmas break and the children have not missed a beat. Academically we areworking on the following:

Math:  2D shapes and 3D shapes  Reinforcing counting

       by 2's, 5's and all number facts to 10.

Reading:  We are moving nicely through our anthology

     working with sentence types ,long vowel sounds

     final digraph sounds as in seND  and poST.

Religion: The Feast of theHoly Family along with

           continued exposure to the events

           surrounding Jesus' birth.

Science: Our weatherstation is being slowly set up in

         our garden area and children are reporting on

         the wind, precipitation, clouds and soon

         temperature.
