IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL STUDENTS: Tutor days Every Tuesday or Wednesday (depending the schedule for that week) students are allowed to pair up with another student earning a high average (strong B or A) and do assignments that may help a student study for the up coming tests. Students are to complete the assignments between 2:30 and 3:30. Students who are tutoring (A students or selected B students) do not have to complete the assignment but will receive credit for the tutoring session. All students that qualify for being a tutor are listed below. EACH TUTOR CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN TWO STUDENTS TO TUTOR. As the class will have AP World and AP U.S. from all periods and therefore the numbers are limited to groups of three. Below are the student Tutor list (which is subject to change depending on grades)
below is a link to a study guide website to help you review for the test. MAKE UP TEST POLICY : While the general policy in our school is that students make up tests immediately the day they come back to school I am well aware of how intense this AP class is so I am willing to give students a few more days to make up tests. HOWEVER, ALL students are to make up a test (excused or not) any day BEFORE the next test is given OR before the 7th day (which ever day comes first). In addition, if a student does not take their make up test prior to the next chapter/essay test or 7th day (which ever day comes first) the student will receive an automatic "ZERO" for that test. Also remember, for ALL students who do not take the test at the same time the class is given and therefore takes a make up test WILL NOT RECEIVE A CLASS CURVE. If you DO NOT understand the information I have provided above make it your responsibility to understand it by emailing me or asking me in class. Mr. Campos
After school meetings: After School meetings will be held from 2:35pm to about 3:30 or 3:45pm (depending how much must be covered)Students will receive an extra credit grade ONLY if you arrive on time and leave when dismissed. ALL STUDENTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND AFTER SCHOOL MEETINGS ALTHOUGH ATTENDANCE IS NOT MANDATORY.
Email me if you have any questions.

After School meetings are critical in this month. Please plan to attend all of them. We will be learning other essay strategies and go over critical summarized information.
NOTE TO ALL STUDENTS: Students who cannot take the test on their specific class period's scheduled class date and time will have to make it up WITHOUT the class curve. NO ONE is to take the test PRIOR to their specific class' scheduled date or time. For example, If you belong to 3rd period you must take the test in 3rd period. If you belong to 7th period, you must take the test in 7th period. Otherwise you will NOT receive the class curve. There is no exception to the rule regardless of an excused or unexcused absence.
For the DBQ, remember to: Create a 1st paragraph that answers ALL parts of the question. Create groups of topic sentences in EACH body paragraph that are generally supported by a group of documents and is partially mentioned in your thesis (the response to the question/your positioned argument answering the question). Study notes. As you write your DBQ essay remember to ALWAYS re-read the question, and CITE key evidence from the documents and be sure that ALL parts of the question is correctly address. If you have any quetions email me. After school meetings: After School meetings will be held from 2:35pm to about 3:30 or 3:45pm (depending how much must be covered)Students will receive an credit extra credit grade ONLY if you arrive on time and leave when dismissed. note about test dates and make ups: ALL students who do not take the test as scheduled will not receive a "class curve". Meaning that the test will be graded as a regular rubric percentage grade . Also, all students should make up the test IMMEDIATELY the next day they report to class. However, those who do not take the test on the given test date will be given a grace period to make up the test BEFORE THE NEXT TEST OF CHAPTERS OR ESSAYS ARE GIVEN OR within 7days (or less). You MUST make up the test no later than the next assigned test or 7th day (which ever comes first). You may take the make up during class, during another period (provided your teacher approves of this) or early in the morning (if you decide to take it in the morning or after school email me to let me know so that you receive confirmation. I am usually in class as early as 6:45 am)
