Week of February 13 - February 17 Monday ALL CLASSES 1. Review the parts of an atom: protons, neutrons, and electrons 2. Read/highlight notes on the parts of an atom 3. Go over formula to find the number of neutrons in an atom: Atomic mass (rounded to the nearest whole number) minus the atomic number = the number of neutrons 4. Practice finding the number of neutrons (EXCEPT for yellow and orange) Tuesday ALL CLASSES 1. What are compounds? 2. Look at some common compounds and their formulas 3.
