 Mrs. Milam and Mrs. Dutton's Kindergarten 2009-2010 I have it on good authority...that we are likely going to be in for 6 more weeks of winter...at least that is the consensus of the groundhogs... So let's dig in and get busy! It's too cold to do anything else! Our third quarter words are: for/it/are/on/as/with/here Please continue to spell and write our review words: black/brown/blue/orange/yellow/green/ purple/red/this/at/from/in/and/you/ can/my/like/go/I/a/to/is/have/the be/see Our themes for February are Penguins and America! Our nursery rhymes are: I'm a little penguin and Yankee Doodle! Please remember to sign your child's behavior calendar each night and if you have any questions, please write to me in our communication notebook! We are continuing writing workshop. During this time, your child is an author and illustrator. S/he draws or writes about a small moment in his/her life. We encourage the children to include characters, setting, and details in their pictures. After writing, we have share time. Please take a look at the writing in your child's folder that we are sending home. You will begin to notice changes as the weeks progress. Remember that homework is due on Fridays. I will not collect it until then. However, you may leave it in your child's folder until then if you wish.
