Level 2 student shows off her cooking skills.

The Culinary and Related Food Technology/ProStart program is a pioneering School-to-Career program written by The Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association that introduces high school juniors and seniors to careers in food service and teaches them the basic skills and knowledge they need for success in the food service industry. On-the-job training and experience, coupled with a dynamic and comprehensive curriculum, fuel the ProStart program.

During the month of March, Level 1 students will be preparing and evaluating several types of salads, salad dressings and garnishes. They will also be applying basic mathematical calculations to culinary operations such as weights and measures and cost control.

Level 1 students will also be reviewing for MS CPAS2 testing occurring on March 29th.

Level 2 students will be participating in an intensive review for MS CPAS2 testing occurring on March 29th.
