    • If you are not close to finishing your project, you should begin working on it for homework.  Projects are due on Thursday, June 4.

Friday 5/29

  • Watch video and take notes on the video.
  • Write summary about video.
  • Homework:
    • If summary was not completed in class, it will need to be finished and turned in on Monday, June 1st.

Tuesday 5/26-5/29

  • Students will be working on their Tic Tac Toe projects.  Projects should be worked on at school and will begin presenting them on Wednesday June 3rd.  All projects are due by June 4 and will be marked late if not turned in by the end of class on Thursday.  During this time there will not be any book homework to complete.

Monday 5/18-5/21

  • Students will share their Eastern Europe independent projects.  Students are expected to follow along with the presentations and be able to answer questions at the end.  Note taking is not required but may help when discussing projects.
  • Homework:
    • Students will not have homework Monday through Thursday of this week but will be assigned a project on Friday that they may begin over the weekend.  This project will allow them some creativity and choices of what they want to complete.  I will attach the requirement sheet once it is assigned.

Friday 5/8-5/15

  • We have been to the media center to research projects and worked from books in the classroom.  They have completed a couple assignments from the book but there has not been any extra homework assigned that was not completed in class until today.
  • Homework:
    • PROJECTS ARE DUE MONDAY, 5/18
    • Get papers signed that went home this week and for some of you the papers you haven't brought in since Spring Break.
    • Give parents letter that all students received today!

Thursday 5/7/2009

  • Worked on projects in the media center.
  • Homework:
    • Work on project.  If at all possible, please make sure your student knows an email address they can send information to and be able to print at home.  They are gathering a lot of info today and tomorrow and this will be quite valuable if they don't have to write it all down.  Thanks!

  • Today we researched countries using reference books in the class.  Tomorrow and Friday we will be in the media center doing research on the computers.

Wednesday 4/15/2009

  • Today all 4 blocks had great questions about Tax Day.  We spent a majority of the time talking about what kinds of taxes there are, why we pay taxes and what this whole "income tax" thing is all about.  I tried to leave them interested enough to bring questions home for you to answer as well.  Their interest was refreshing and hopefully they got as much out of it as it seemed.
  • Most classes were able to review at least the first page if not all 3 pages of notes from Northern Europe.  We will finish reviewing the notes tomorrow and then review for the Northern Europe test on Friday.
  • Homework:
    • Study for Northern Europe test.
    • Check out the link below. Certain national restaurants are offering "specials"
      on tax day, including TGI Fridays and Chick-fi-la.

Monday and Tuesday 4/6/2009 - 4/7/2009

  • Northern Europe Scavenger Hunt.  Students were given questions and statements about Northern Europe they needed to find answers to.  There was also a map they needed to label and color for full credit.  Students who complete the assignment will be given extra credit.  Anyone who was absent on Monday and Tuesday and completes the packet will also be given extra credit.  This assignment will not be counted as a grade and will not hurt a grade if not completed.
  • Homework:
    • None!

Friday 4/3/2009  **Today is an LOL Friday.  Classes will be shorter than normal.**
