PARENTS: Please make sure your child has adequate sleep the night before and a healthy breakfast every morning. Teenagers need 8-10 hours of sleep per night for improved concentration and reduced fatigue. Make them turn the computer off and put down the phone. Eating breakfast also reduces fatigue and obesity. Skipping meals doesn't increase their metabolism rate, which doesn't burn alot of calories. Therefore, the child can gain weight. Buy some snack foods that they can put in their bookbag to eat between classes such as a breakfast bar, fruit, dry cereal, etc. These easy steps will contribute to your child's success. I appreciate your willingness to help.
STUDENTS: Everyday we are taking notes in class and everyday, I expect you to be studying those notes for quizzes and tests. It only takes 5-10 minutes of your time. Trust me, it's worth it.
HOPE: Dress out days every Thursday or Friday. Since it's getting cold, remember you can wear sweatpants and sweatshirts. Bring a towel or blanket to lay on for cushion.
