1.       Review geography and natural barriers

2.       Video clip-“sister rivers” shows Yangtze river valley and coffins placed in the walls of the gorge

3.       Contributions of the early Chinese dynasties: oracle bones, pictograph writing, bronze and silk making, and ancestor worship

4.       Later Chinese dynasties contributions: walled towns, the Great Wall of China, civil service exams, and silk road trade routes
