November

A reminder to middle and upper grade parents...I am telling our students that keeping their shoes tied is part of the dress code.  I do not allow students to enter the gym with shoes untied or laced underneath the tongue or underneath the shoe.  This is not good safety practice.

We will be running quit a bit, even though we will be finishing up with the mile.  Turkey Trot is coming!

As long as the weather permits we will be outside finishing up the shuttle run and enjoying the nice weather.

All grades will be starting flag football and they really really enjoy it.  Kindergarden will be playing a tag game with the football flags.

Yours in health and fitness,

Mrs. DeStefano

SEE BELOW FOR FAQ ...Frequently Asked Questions

1. QUESTION...If my child is injured or not feeling well, do I need a note to the P.E. teacher?

ANSWER... Yes, I need to know what is happening with your childs injury or sickness so I can make sound decisions as to whether or not they should particpate that day. If you want your child to NOT participate please write a note. If a child is out for a period of time they make be asked to do a written report on the sport we are doing. Nothing to extensive.

2. QUESTION... If my son/daughter misses their clothes more than three time a quarter what happens?

ANSWER... They will get a NI on their report card. I usually will remind them when they have two missed clothes , but it is up to the student to take full responsiblity. This pertains to grade 4-8. Younger students will get a not home to remind them not to forget.

3. QUESTION...Are their written tests given in P.E.

ANSWER.... This depends on the discretion of their teacher. I give written tests. Usually three or four a year. They will be given a study guide to use and be given plenty of time in advanced to prepare.
