Dear Parents,

Another year is off to a great start.  This year I will be working with Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and Fifth Grade.  As always, my advice to all students is to read, read, read!!!  This includes comic books, cook books, poetry, how-to books, as well as story books.

We are happy to have St. Francis volunteering at our school again this year! Ms. Carole and her dog, Daisy and Ms. Janelle and her dog, Benson are greatly loved by all.  If you haven't heard...Goodview is proud to have a reading to dogs program.  Our volunteers come weekly so students in grades 3-4 can read to the dogs.  The kids love the one-on-one time with these big lovable dogs and it is a great incentive to READ.:)

Other news...Our Title I program is thrilled at receiving a grant from the Bedford Area Foundation.  Goodview was awarded $600.00 to purchase comprehension kits.  The students and teachers have greatly appreciated these new materials.
