Week of April 27 - May 1, 2009 Today in class, we reviewed the European Union. We are returning to current Europe. We also talked about the oil and natural gas deposits in the North Sea. Homework is to organize their notebooks, which will be turned in tomorrow. The table of contents above is correct if you would like to check and make sure they have everything and that is is in the correct place, has a title and page number. Notebooks will be turned in. Students will read p. 379-383 in their textbook and complete a guided reading over the United Kingdom. This is homework if they don't finish in class. In class, we will go over the guided reading and discuss the United Kingdom. Students will also read p. 384-387 and complete a web about Sweden. This is homework if they don't finish in class. In class, we will check their web on Sweden and discuss this country. They will also read p. 390-393 about France and complete a reading comprehension sheet over this reading. This sheet will become homework if they don't finish in class. Friday - Journal - Check week's entries In class, we will check their comprehension sheet and discuss France. They will also be reading p. 394-397 about Germany and complete a worksheet over Germany. This will be homework if they don't finish in class. I will be giving them a special project sheet today. This project will be done mostly in class, and will be due May 15th. Check the sheet in their notebooks for further instructions. They will be choosing their country on Monday. |
