Thursday, November 19, 2009 Parents, Progress reports will be issued on Friday, Nov. 20. Next week is Thanksgiving Break. Students will return to school on Monday, November 30. Affidavits of residency must be completed this year again. Please complete and have the form notarized as soon as possible. Remember you must have documents verifying your address is within Smokey Road's attendance zone. Please remember that i f your student is absent from school, you need to send a note explaining the absence when your student returns to class. Include your student's name, the date(s) he/she was absent, the reason for the absence (doctor's note, if appropriate), your signature as the parent, along with a phone number where you can be reached.Thanks! LANGUAGE ARTS: Homework: Study for your test over Vocabulary Lesson 14. If you have not turned in the definitions sheet and Exercise 2 and 3 for Lesson 14, you need to do so by tomorrow or receive a zero for the assignment. Bring a book every day to read in class when you complete work early. Coming Up: Thursday, Nov. 19--Rehearsal will be postponed until the week after Thanksgiving Break. Friday, Nov. 20--Vocabulary Test Lesson 14. Monday, Nov. 30--Groups rehearse scripts for talk show ("Ask the Smokey Road Experts"). Tuesday, Dec. 1-Thursday, Dec. 3--groups present projects. (This date may be adjusted to a later date. Watch for update by Nov. 30.)
